第三話: チーム パン セブン

パンがっこうの かべに しらせが あります。こめこは きんちょうしながら じぶんの なまえを さがします。「チーム パン セブン: こめこ、うどん、あきもち」

うどんは パンがっこうで いちばん つよい がくせい です。くろいかみの おとこのこで、いつも まじめな かおを しています。パンを つくるとき、てが とても はやく うごきます。

あきもちは あまいものが だいすきな おんなのこ です。ピンクの エプロンを つけていて、いつも わらっています。とても つよくて、にじゅっキロの こむぎこぶくろを かるく もちあげます。

せんせいは ゆうめいな はっこうの せんもんか、イーストせんせい です。ながい しろい ひげと めがねの おとこの ひとです。「みなさん、パンは かがくと まほう なんです」と いいます。

イーストせんせいは チームに はじめての しれんを だします。「いっしょに パンを つくってください。ひとりが こねて、ひとりが おんどを はかって、ひとりが じかんを はかります。チームワークが たいせつです。」

うどんは すぐに しじを だします。「あきもち、こむぎこを はかって。こめこ、みずの おんどを はかって。」でも こめこは きんちょうして おんどけいを おとしてしまいます。

「だいじょうぶ」と あきもちは わらいます。「わたしも はじめは へたでした。いっしょに がんばりましょう！」

うどんは ため いきを つきます。でも なきそうな こめこを みて、やさしく いいます。「もういちど やってみよう。こんどは ゆっくりね。」

キューパンは こめこの むねの なかで ささやきます。「みんなを しんじて。そして じぶんも しんじて。」

チームは なんども ちょうせん します。さいしょの パンは かたすぎて、つぎは しおが つよすぎます。でも すこしずつ じょうずに なっていきます。

さいごに とても きれいな パンが やきあがります。はじめて チームで つくった パンです。あたたかい パンの においが だいどころに ただよいます。

イーストせんせいは パンを みて うなずきます。「これが チームワークです。これからは みなさん いっしょに せいちょうしていきます。チーム パン セブンの たびは はじまったばかりです。」

English Version

Episode 3: Team Pan 7

On the wall of the Bakery School, there is an announcement. Komeko nervously looks for her name. “Team Pan 7: Komeko, Udon, Akimochi”

Udon is the strongest student at the Bakery School. He is a boy with black hair and always has a serious face. When making bread, his hands move very fast.

Akimochi is a girl who loves sweet things. She wears a pink apron and is always smiling. She is very strong and can easily lift 20-kilo bags of flour.

Their teacher is the famous fermentation specialist, Master Yeast. He is a man with a long white beard and glasses. “Everyone, bread is both science and magic,” he says.

Master Yeast gives the team their first challenge. “Please make bread together. One person kneads, one checks temperature, one times. Teamwork is important.”

Udon immediately starts giving directions. “Akimochi, measure the flour. Komeko, check the water temperature.” But Komeko is nervous and drops the thermometer.

“It’s okay,” Akimochi laughs. “I was bad at first too. Let’s do our best together!”

Udon sighs. But seeing Komeko about to cry, he says kindly, “Let’s try again. This time, slowly.”

Kyuu-pan whispers in Komeko’s chest. “Trust everyone. And trust yourself.”

The team tries many times. The first bread is too hard, the next too salty. But gradually, they improve.

Finally, a beautiful bread bakes up. Their first bread made together as a team. The warm smell of bread drifts through the kitchen.

Master Yeast looks at the bread and nods. “This is teamwork. From now on, you will grow together. Team Pan 7’s journey has only just begun.”

Note: In Japanese, while 七 (なな/nana) is indeed the Japanese number for 7, when it comes to team names or product names, they often use the English loanword “seven” (セブン/sebun) instead of the Japanese なな (nana).
